Evolution of a Volunteer
Awareness: Individuals
understand that their personal time, shared with someone who
needs a hand, can make the world of difference.
Recruitment: Mayflower
RSVP reaches out via cable TV, newspapers, organizations and
word-of-mouth from one to another to say, “I can do it;
so can you!”

RSVP interviews each prospective volunteer to identify how
their skills & interests can serve best. Volunteers
performing direct service to vulnerable recipients must pass
a Criminal Background Check (CORI) before placement.

nearly fits with their interests, skills and availability. Each
volunteer is encouraged to accept only the level of commitment
that they can fulfill.

are expected to attend orientation and training programs designed
to strengthen the consistency of effectiveness of the program
and of each volunteer.
